Ads Privacy Policy
Calcrow may use Google AdMob in supported mobile builds. This page explains how ad-related privacy choices work, including consent flows for the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and privacy choices required under applicable US state regulations.
When this page applies
This ads privacy policy applies when Calcrow shows or prepares to show ads through Google AdMob on Android or iOS. It does not change the local-first file editing behavior described in the main Privacy Policy.
How ad privacy choices are collected
- Calcrow uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and AdMob privacy messaging where supported.
- On app startup, Calcrow may request the latest consent status and show a Google-managed form when required.
- Those messages may ask for consent or privacy choices for the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or supported US states depending on device, region, and Google requirements.
- Calcrow keeps a persistent in-app entry point under Settings so you can review or update those choices again later when Google requires it.
What data may be involved
AdMob and its partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP-based region information, app interaction signals, and consent or privacy preference status to decide whether and how ads may be shown. The exact data used depends on Google's AdMob and UMP systems and the choices you make.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If Google determines that your device is in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Calcrow may show a consent message before requesting ads. In those regions, Google may require an always-available privacy options entry point after consent is collected. Calcrow provides that entry in Settings under Data Collection.
US state privacy choices
If Google determines that a US state privacy message applies to your device, Calcrow may also show a Google-managed privacy form for those requirements. Available options, including any rights to opt out of certain ad data uses, are presented through Google's message flow when applicable.
Your choices
- You can open Calcrow Settings and review ad privacy choices again at any time when the device supports that entry point.
- You can avoid ad-supported features by using versions or configurations of Calcrow that do not show ads.
- You can review our general data handling at /privacy-policy/.
- You can contact support through /support/ if you believe this disclosure needs correction.
Third-party terms
Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform operate under Google's own terms and privacy documentation. Their systems determine the specific consent text, partner lists, and privacy options shown to users where applicable.
Policy updates
This page may be updated if Calcrow's advertising setup or regulatory disclosures change. The current version will remain available at this URL.
